We got right into the swing of December in kindergarten! On Monday, students found a little elf friend in our classroom. With him was an Elf book that we read. As the book said, we needed to decide on a name for our elf. I loved hearing all their creative choices. We voted, and the majority (13 students), voted on Edgar. This was the name of the Elf we met last week in our animated literacy resource. Edgar will fly back to the North Pole every night, and come back to our classroom every day where he will find a new place to hide. The students really enjoyed coming in each day this week to look for our elf friend. I am also loving hearing about all of their elfs at home! The spirit of Christmas is so alive in all their hearts. It really is a magical time, and I am blessed to share it with all of them! A new month, also meant a new centre! The Santa’s workshop has been a favourite!! Students are loving putting on their elf aprons and getting to work with Christmas cards, taking calls ...
