Christmas in Kindergarten
We have had a busy month getting ready for Christmas and learning about the season of Advent. Advent is a time to prepare for the birth of Jesus. Each week of Advent represents a special meaning which we discussed in class. Meet Violet. The students named our elf and enjoyed finding him every morning! Our Santa’s workshop was a favourite centre by all! Students had fun wrapping. Making cards for each other, and wearing the cute elf aprons. The playdoh station became a Christmas cookie decorating station, and we had a table sized Christmas colouring sheet that we worked on! Grinch day was so fun! We started our day with reading how the grinch stole Christmas. Students enjoyed thinking up reasons how they could get the grinch to smile. The visit from the Grinch did not disappoint! Snowmen at night is a perfect book to use our imaginations and think of things that our snowmen might do at night while we’re sleeping. I loved ...
