Greenland Garden Centre

Spending the morning at Greenland garden center was a wonderful way to spend the morning! We lucked out with the weather and it wasn't too chilly!
We started the morning with a bumpy ride on the trailer sled!! The kids loved it and we were able to stop in front of some beautiful spruce trees for a class picture!

We went into the greenhouse that stores all the Christmas trees! This may have been their favorite part of the morning as they got to play hide and seek in amongst the trees and look for Christmas decorations hiding in the trees! So much FUN!!

We then went inside where we planted our paper white flowers. The students all put their hands up and made a pledge that they would water and take care of their flowers. They need to be squishy to touch, but not too wet and if it feels fluffy-it needs water. I hope they all flourish and you have beautiful flowers to admire in your homes!

We ended off the day going into the poinsettia greenhouse and learning that these beautiful Christmas flowers come from Mexico and that they have a 5 pm bedtime so they can grow into beautiful plants.

Thank you to all the parent helpers for coming!!! It was a wonderful morning!
