Valentines Day!!

February has been filled with much conversation about love, sharing, being a good friend and kindness. We will continue these conversations for the rest of February, but wanted to share what we have been up to thus far.

We had fun completing this fine motor craft that involved students tearing small pieces of paper to fill in a valentines day heart. They then had to finish five sentences

I love seeing...
I love smelling...
I love eating...
I love playing...
I love reading...

Their answers were priceless!!! Here are a few of them. (These will be glued inside scrapbooks)

I already shared these pictures on class dojo, but wanted to mention again how much fun the students had outside playing with friends. With Spring around the corner (hopefully) we will be doing much more of this. Going outside for recess breaks will also get them ready for grade 1!

The teddy bear and sock toss was fun! Thank you to all those that brought in so many items to donate! There were so many extras, that students didn't mind sharing their items to allow their friends a turn to throw over the balcony!

Today we celebrated Valentines Day! The highlight of the day was exchanging the valentines with their friends, and I am sure they all loved opening up their bags at home. Students also worked on patterning with valentines theme figurines, pattern bracelets with valentines beads and decorating a "love" board, that will come home soon!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!
