Sherwood Park Museum

We had so much fun learning about the past today.
Students toured a one room school house. They sat in rows, learned about how kids used to write with ink, and got a chance to write on the blackboard!

The general store was the next stop. Students had to find popular items that would have been found in the store! Buttons for sewing,  or a coke bottle with a marble inside as a favourite game!

We visited the dairy farm and learned about how pioneers used to live off the land.

The last stop was a small antique kitchen where students learned about a wood burning stove, an ice box freezer, and how there was no microwave for a quick heat up!

Here are some pictures from our morning.
Enjoy!
