Halloween and much more!!
We all know that Halloween is loved by most kids!! We didn’t only have fun seeing eachothers costumes, but having fun learning too!!
Students enjoyed learning the song 5 little pumpkins, and then completed a fun stem challenge that had them making a bridge that 5 pumpkins could fit on!
Sparky was a huge hit to conclude our safety unit in October. Students learned the importance of fire safety and stop drop and roll.
Father Jim came for a visit and spoke to the kindergartens and pre kindergarteners! I enjoy how Father Jim brings topics of faith to their level so that they can understand God’s love for them.
The Halloween social was such a fantastic evening! I was able to get just a few pictures!
Pumpkin investigation was a day where we explored this large fruit! We made predictions, explored and carved some Jack o lanterns!
Students had fun with some Halloween stations in the classroom!
Making witches brew
Ghost bowling (gross motor skills)
Using tweezers to free the spiders (fine motor development)
Using one to one correspondence to place Halloween 👻 on a numbered placemat.
Halloween day itself started with jack o lantern pizza making!! Thank you to Zeineh for the homemade pizza crusts! Students enjoyed using ham, pinnacle and pepperoni to decorate their pizzas to resemble a jack o lantern!
We also enjoyed a spooky library! Every year, Mrs. Scoggins decorates the library for students to walk through. They also enjoyed a story, and a dance party!
One final picture of Halloween 🎃
The day after Halloween was the perfect day for PJ’s and buddy time! The grade 4’s had been working hard to write their own pumpkin stories! The kindergarteners were happy to listen to their buddies stories.
