Wrapping up our year...

The last few weeks of school can be very exciting, but they can also bring sadness that our great year together is coming to an end. We have been reading stories and doing activities that bring excitement to finishing kindergarten and looking forward to what is ahead.

We read this book, “First Grade Jitters”, about a young boy who was nervous to start grade 1. He wanted to stay in kindergarten where he knew his friends and liked the toys. Through the story he discovered that he would have old friends in his new class, and his grade 1 teacher was actually very nice. I hope this story brought these kiddos some comfort knowing that grade 1 will be great!!

We are inching our way to Grade 1....This project also went along with our bug unit!

We also looked really ahead.... like 12 years ahead to what we want to be when we grow up! I loved hearing all their responses. Here a few examples. You will be able to see all your children’s responses glued in their scrapbooks.

We enjoyed our last day with our grade 7 buddies!! These students have really formed a unique bond, and the grade 7’s have been such an amazing help to us! They have been so patient and kind with the kindergarten class!!
